Job Summary
A cosmetics salesperson will assist customers in selecting beauty and skincare products, provides expert advice on product use, and ensures an excellent shopping experience to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service
Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products
Understand customer needs (skin type, preferences, budget)
Provide personalized product recommendations
2. Product Knowledge
Demonstrate knowledge of makeup, skincare, and beauty tools
Explain product benefits, ingredients, and usage
Stay updated on new arrivals, trends, and promotions
3. Sales & Upselling
Meet or exceed sales targets
Recommend additional or complementary products (upselling/cross-selling)
Promote special offers and loyalty programs
4. Product Demonstration
Perform makeup applications or skincare demos when needed
Teach customers how to use products effectively
5. Store Maintenance
Keep shelves clean, organized, and fully stocked
Ensure products are properly displayed and labeled
Monitor stock levels and report shortages
6. Handling Transactions
Operate the cash register and process payments
Handle returns or exchanges according to store policy
7. Hygiene & Safety
Maintain cleanliness of testers and tools
Follow hygiene standards when applying products to customers
